Laptop Computers	Mandatory: all teachers must have these	3-4 available in class for graphics; high end use.
Videoconferencing	Full screen video (video over IP) can now be delivered over networks. Teachers will teach virtual classes where teachers may not be available or classes are not viable.	Students will log on to online courses from school or home and will not be limited to courses run in NZ
Handheld Computers	limited if laptops available	Most students will use these primarily as communication devices abut also as recording tools and to access e-Books and web sites. Cost is expected to be $300 for base models.
Voice over IP	Voice over IP remote whiteboards and online courses will be come the norm	Students will interview and discuss issues online in global forums
Wireless Environments	Teachers can deliver online material and students can access from anywhere.	Students work from the desk, outside . . . wherever.
Multimedia projectors	1 machine per 3-4 classrooms. Cost expected to bottom out at $3000	Presentation tools for news desks and reporting back/teaching.
